Iroh was a great leader in the Fire Nation of the fictional world of Avatar: The Last Air Bender while Elder Eyering sits in the highest council of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Both men speak with soft voices, are very learned and wise. Both have a great spirit and have learned in their younger years the value of a good education they are both mentors to youth. They both have a bit of a dry sense of humor. One is fictional and the other is a very real person. One teaches youth how to bend fire and the other teaches youth how to use the priesthood of God.
